Members of the Council are requested to attend the above Meeting to transact the following business: -
1. Apologies for Absence
2. Declarations of Interests. To declare any ‘personal' or ‘personal and
prejudicial' interests relating to items on the agenda having regard to paragraphs 7 to 11 inclusive of Part 2 of the Code of Conduct for Members and having taken appropriate advice (where necessary) before the meeting. (Form available)
3. Public Question Time. A maximum period of 10 minutes to allow members of the public to ask questions or to make statements, and for Councillors with ‘personal' or ‘personal and prejudicial' interests under paragraph 12(2) of the code of conduct for Members to make statements.
4. Minutes. To approve the minutes of the Council meeting held on 28th May 2009 and the Annual Town Council Meeting on 14th May 2009.
5. Committee Minutes To accept the minutes of the following committees:
(i) Amenities Committee - 2nd July 2009 - copy previously circulated
Amenities Committee - Recommendations at minute 154
(ii) Finance & General Purposes Committee - 9th July 2009 - copy to be circulated.
6. Planning Applications. Dealt with by the Planning Committee. ALL MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL ARE MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE. Chair of Planning - Councillor Mrs S Diver - report will be available at meeting if new planning applications received.
7. Mayors Appointments and Announcements - report available
8. Presentation by Mr K Nolan, Edward Jones
9. Local Highways Panel for Braintree District - report available
10. Flagpole - report available
11. Tree Warden - report available
12. Essex Regeneration Service - Service Modernisation Consultation Process - report available
13. Exclusion of Public and Press.
To give consideration to adopting the following resolution: - "That pursuant to the provisions of section 1(2)-of the Admission to Meetings Act 1960, in view of the next item to be conducted, the press and public to be excluded
from the meeting.
