Members of the Council are requested to attend the Annual General Meeting, to transact the following business: -
1. Apologies for Absence
2. Presentation of cheques to the Mayor's Charities
3. Election of Chairman/Mayor
To elect the Chairman/Mayor of the Town Council for the ensuing year.
Declaration of Acceptance of Office of Chairperson.
4. Election of Vice Chairman
To elect the Vice Chairman of the Town Council for the ensuing year.
Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
5. Election of Committees
(a) Finance & General Purposes Committee (five Members normally appointed, plus Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Council as ex-officio).
(b) Amenities Committee (five Members normally appointed, plus Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Council as ex-officio).
(c) Planning Committee (all Members)
(d) Staff Review Group
(e) Budget Working Group - (To consider increasing Membership from 3 to 6.)
ADJOURNMENT - To enable committees to meet and make appointments - Agendas available.
6. Appointment to other bodies:
(a) Halstead Town Centre Strategy Panel
(b) Halstead History Society
(c) Other
7. Lease for the land behind Courtaulds - verbal update.
8. Any other business considered urgent by the Chairman.
