Allotments
Halstead Town Council has six allotment sites in the town. These sites are located at Parsonage Street, Tidings Hill, Colchester Road (2 sets), Mitchell Avenue and Upper Fenn Road.
Prices range depending on the size of the plot, there is no extra charge for sites with water and there is a concession for Senior Citizens.
Allotment plots are £1.50 per rod per year. The average plot size is 10 rods, although half plots may be available. To obtain an allotment please phone Halstead Town Council on 01787 476480 and we will send you a plan of the sites with plots highlighted showing availability.
In areas where demand exceeds supply, we maintain waiting lists and notify those waiting when a vacancy arises.
You will invoiced on a yearly basis every September and will be notified of any price increases.
